Poul-Erik Transo
Poul-Erik Transo, AUD, Doctor of Audiology

Poul-Erik Transo, a native of Bornholm, Denmark, came to America in 1974 and became a licensed nurse. It was because of his background in 7 languages and having a hearing impaired father that prompted his interest in audiology and communication. Poul-Erik went on to receive his MS degree in Audiology from the University of WI, Madison in 1992 and later received additional training in the field of vestibuology from Southern Ill. School of Medicine. Poul-Erik opened the Associated Balance and Hearing clinic in Boscobel, WI in 1993. The Clinic has since expanded to four communities and has become a research site for balance and hearing studies making it one of the largest privately-owned balance and hearing clinics in the tri-state area. Poul-Erik has been a guest specialist on several radio stations including WRCO and Wisconsin Public Radio with Larry Meiller. Learn more about our audiologist.

Jens-Peter Transo
Jens-Peter Transo, H.I.S., Hearing Instrument Specialist

Jens-Peter Transo, a lifelong musician and computer specialist, studied at UW Richland and UW Platteville. He received his training in Hearing Instrument Sciences at the Starkey Labs in Minnesota, did his internship with the Associated Balance and Hearing Clinic in Boscobel, WI and holds a Wisconsin H.I.S. license. Jens-Peter specializes in sound-management, hearing instrument repair, technology, and testing. He Has been fitting hearing instruments since 2003. Jens-Peter also manages all technology and computer programming for the clinic. He has been a guest specialist on several radio stations including WRCO and Wisconsin Public Radio with Larry Meiller.
